This tour starts early, leaving for the town of Ibicoara, located four and a half hours south of Chapada. From here, you will walk for about an hour along the river in order to reach the canyon where the Buracão waterfall is found. Terra magazine considers this 100 meter high waterfall to be one of the most beautiful in Brazil. The first access point is from above where it is possible to see the water drop from 85 meters. The second access point is from a trail that descends into a pool 50 meters deep and the third point is accessed by rappel from 98 meters. In order to leave the Buracão, it is necessary to walk a steep trail for 10 minutes. The rappel option should be booked in advance.
